Evolving, Pivoting & Effort

Beats 4 Hope Board Members are not compensated and all the funds generated at our events or shop go to charity. We are currently seeking in-kind and financial donations, sponsorships, and grants. If you are passionate about helping out our cause and making a difference, let's set up a meeting. Beats 4 Hope is a non-profit 501(c)(3)
We have also learned it takes people power to make the magic happen. We can create the event but still takes people getting involved to make a difference.
Monica Martines, Co-Chief of Beats4Hope,
is a registered dietitian, national board-certified health and wellness, and fitness instructor who is deeply passionate about empowering others to live their best lives. Her clinical and fitness experiences have fueled her commitment to helping those in need, as she has firsthand knowledge of the detrimental effects of unhealthy eating, poor food quality, and their long-term consequences. She understands that these issues not only impact individuals but also have far-reaching effects on the community as a whole. When she's not in her clinical practice or teaching classes, you'll find her connecting with donors and spreading the Beats4Hope mission online, driven by her belief in the power of healthy living to transform lives and communities.
Alex Mejia / Co-Chief Executive Director -
Being from the Bay Area, Mejia has a strong musical bond with the 90's era of the People Station, which motivated him to use his talents to serve the community. For over three decades, Mejia has been DJing events and bringing together a team of Super All-Star DJs and artists to support and raise funds for communities in need. He is also fostering a sense of togetherness within the music community. For Mejia, it has always been a priority to combine food, dance, and charitable giving as a way to give back to the community in an enjoyable manner.
U don't know until you try..
Some of the stand out projects have come from listening to the needs of our community and being open to think outside of the box to make a difference with our contributors.

Hip Hop Saves Lives
This song and project truly is a blessing from Speech and Arrested Development.

Nasty Nes
Salute to the Legend Nasty Nes who recently passed. Before he passed he stated he wanted to help the community by donating his revised artwork for social good in helping food banks.

Shock G / Humpty Hump
This design is created by Shomari Smith of Oakland, Ca. This collaboration came from a conversation with Shomari stating, "I would like my art to go past the canvas. So connected Shomari, with Digital Undergrounds front man Money B and collectively we support The East Oakland Collective. We promote the sale of this shirt to help the EOC. The dj community really stepped up on this one.
Beats4Hope uplifts communities by providing strength, kindness, and life-saving support to those in need. True hometown heroes, they bring hope when it's needed most.
